Dana was unable to walk without crutches or for long periods of time in her previous socket/foot system. She can now walk with comfort and stability since she was fit with a better-fitting prosthesis and the TaiLor Made prosthetic foot. “I can feel the foot flex and then plant itself on the ground,” explains Dana. “I know where it is and what it is doing, and don’t have that feeling of being pushed forward. It works like a real foot!”
Louise was so happy with the stability and natural movement of her TaiLor Made foot that she gave us a “video review” so she could share her enthusiasm with others. 🙂 After 7 years on crutches, this former teacher has now transitioned to one crutch, and is confident she will be able to walk without any aids in the near future! Louise gets our *Most Enthusiastic Reviewer* award! #TeamLouise

Here are some pictures from a hike I did this last weekend. As you can see, the terrain is not very smooth. It was really hot as well so my feet took a beating. You will see that my hiking boots fell apart but my TaiLor Made did not. I always carry a small roll of duct tape in my back pack and it certainly saved the day. The only foot I would trust for this kind of uneven terrain hike is the TaiLor Made. I would not have the same confidence in any other foot.”

“This might sound like a cheesy advertisement but it’s the absolute truth, and after just having an epiphany I thought I’d share. I remember years ago, I took a day-trip to Washington, D.C., and after merely 1-2 hours of walking the city, I was in so much pain that I remember having to stop on the sidewalk, and was contemplating whether or not I needed to call a taxi to drive me all of 2 miles back to the hotel, or whether I could fight through the pain and make it back. In the past 36-hours, however, I’ve walked over 23K steps all throughout lower & upper Manhattan in NYC, in less-than-comfortable walking shoes I might add, and haven’t even had to think twice. The TaiLor Made foot has changed my life, and I’m forever grateful.”
This is my “everything” foot! It feels like I have a real ankle! There’s nothing I can’t do with it.
“Today I was fitted with a new prosthetic leg. I’m a BK amputee from a congenital defect. Dagny Laur from American Limb and Orthopedic of Valparaiso thought I would be a good candidate for the new Tailor Made foot. There was a question that I might not be able to use it due to the stump length but we tried it and the fit was fantastic, and the motion? Well, for the first time in my life I walked so smoothly without effort. Before I’ve always felt like my foot/ankle was like a brick. Very little motion, so I’ve always had to adjust my gait to compensate for it. I’ve always walked well and unless someone knows me they don’t know I have a prosthetic leg. Well now, I’ll be able to fool everyone even more! It took me all of 10 minutes of constant walking in the lab to adjust to the difference. I pick up the final product on June 26th and I cannot wait! I look forward to a life long association with your company. Thank you so much!!”
